Multiview in B Player: Watch Several Live Channels at Once

Some nights one channel just isn't enough. Maybe there are two things on at the same time, or you want to keep an eye on one programme while you watch another. That's what Multiview in B Player is for: it lets you watch several live channels on one screen.
Quick answer
Multiview lets you watch several live channels on one screen. You open it from the Live TV section of B Player.
What is Multiview?
Normally, B Player shows one channel at a time on your screen. With Multiview, you can have several live channels on screen together, so you don't have to keep switching back and forth.
It's made for live TV, so you'll find it in the Live TV section rather than in Movies or Series.
How to open Multiview
- Press Up on your remote to reach the top bar.
- Select Live TV and press OK.
- Select the Multiview button at the top of Live TV.
Add channels to your screen
Multiview starts with an empty Add stream tile.
- Select Add stream and press OK.
- Pick a channel, the same way you would in Live TV.
- Repeat to add more channels next to it.
Each channel plays in its own tile, so you can keep an eye on several programmes at once.
Control each screen
Move to a tile and press OK to see its options:
- Sound from this screen – hear this channel. The other tiles keep playing silently.
- Full screen – watch this channel on the whole screen.
- Change channel – swap this tile to a different channel.
- Remove – close this tile and free up the space.
A good habit: put the channel you care about most in the first tile and give it the sound, then glance at the others.
Make Multiview quicker with favourites and groups
Multiview uses the same channel lists as Live TV, so a little setup makes adding channels faster.
- In Live TV, move to a channel you watch often.
- Hold OK on it. The "Add to group" dialog opens.
- Choose Favourites, or New group… to make a group (for example one for match days).
Your favourites and groups then appear at the top of the category list when you pick channels for a tile.
Remember your plan's screens
Your plan sets how many devices can watch at the same time: one screen on the Monthly and 3-month plans, two on the 6- and 12-month plans. If you see "Your account is busy", every screen on your plan is in use. Stop watching on another device, wait a few seconds and try again.
Use profiles for different viewers
Each profile in B Player has its own favourites, groups, history and hidden categories. That means the person who likes to watch several channels at once can keep their own groups, without changing anyone else's setup. Switch profile from Settings → Account or by selecting your avatar.
Helpful remote tips for live TV
While you're watching a single channel in Live TV:
- Number keys on the remote jump straight to that channel number.
- Up and Down change channel.
- The player has a channel list you can open while watching.
You can also set coloured or extra remote buttons to useful actions in Settings → Remote buttons – for example Favourites, Last channel or Channel list.
Get the best picture
Smooth live TV depends on a good connection. We recommend:
- At least 15 Mbps for HD, and 25 Mbps for the best quality.
- Wired Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi where possible.
If channels buffer or freeze:
- Try another channel first.
- If all channels buffer, restart your router and TV box.
- Try Settings → Playback → Buffer and choose Fewer stalls.
- If a channel shows a green or frozen picture, try Prefer software decoding in Settings → Playback.
Where can I use B Player?
B Player works on Amazon Fire TV (including Fire TV Stick), Android TV, Google TV, and Android phones and tablets. It isn't available for iPhone or iPad yet.
If you haven't installed it, you can install B Player in a few minutes. On a TV, use the free Downloader app with the code 2134426.
Summary
Multiview lets you watch several live channels on one screen, and you'll find it in Live TV. Set up Favourites and your own groups first, so the channels you want are always easy to reach. Every plan includes live TV – see our plans.
